Interstate 74 would join Interstate 73 at Piketon for a lengthy duplex. Interstates 73/74 from Piketon to Chesapeake would basically follow U.S. 23, bypass Portsmouth to the northeast, and follow U.S. 52 to Chesapeake. At Chesapeake, Interstates 73/74 would cross the Ohio River into West Virginia.
